The long, small island of Kekova with its bays and ruin cities of Simena and Teimiussa, offered protective anchorages for ships in ancienttimes. Here we will sail along the partly sunken ruins.
The fisher´s village of Ücagiz (delta) with its ancient Ruins of Teimiussa, lies in the inner part of the bay. The inscription of the Lycian language proves the existence of the settlement in the year 400 B.C.
From the well-preserved tombs in the rocks, two appear to belong to one of the oldest known building styles. Next to the door of the right tomb one of the owner can be read. Numerous sarcophagi are situated above this coastal area.
